From a tight lot in Paris to five acres of bush, we bring the right machine and do the job to grade. Pick a service to see what is included, what affects the price, and recent work.
Clean, to-grade foundation digs with backfill and final grading, for new builds, additions and shops across Brant County.
Topsoil stripped and saved, rough and final grade set with a laser, and the ground sloped so water leaves the house. For new lots and older yards.
We turn overgrown bush into usable ground with a forestry mulcher, an excavator and a tractor, then condition the soil and seed it.
Trenches for water, hydro and gas lines, drainage that moves water off your property, and ponds dug and shaped with a full-size excavator.
New septic systems, bed repairs, tanks, pump chambers and cisterns for rural homes and farms across Brant County.
We take down houses, barns, garages and commercial buildings, haul the debris and leave a clean, level site ready for what comes next.
Concrete
We pour flatwork and foundations the right way: compacted base, sloped for drainage, reinforced, and jointed so it lasts. Because we also excavate, one crew handles the whole job.
Driveways poured on a proper compacted base, with the right mix and control joints, so they survive freeze-thaw winters.
Patios, front and side walkways, pads and steps poured on a packed base, with a broom finish that grips in wet and icy weather.
Footings and poured walls for new homes, additions and shops, formed to the drawings and pumped in where a truck cannot reach.
Slabs for garages, shops, barns and sheds, with drains, conduit and water lines placed before the pour and a finish that suits how you use the floor.
Decorative concrete for driveways, patios and walkways, including exposed aggregate with integral colour, stamped patterns and polished finishes.

A broom-finish driveway poured from base to finished surface that changed the look of the whole front of the house.

Excavation · County of Brant · September 2025
Nearly five acres of overgrown bush cleared, mulched and soil-conditioned, then seeded for grass after more than 20 hours of tractor time.

New shop floor in an old barn with a large front extension, a channel drain for washing vehicles, utilities under the slab and a parking pad at the house.

Who you are hiring
Cutting Edge Excavation & Services started in 2023 with a simple idea: show up when you say you will, do the job to grade, and leave the site clean. The company is based in Paris, Ontario and works across Brantford and the County of Brant, with excavation, septic and demolition jobs reaching Cambridge, Hamilton and beyond.
In February 2025 we launched Cutting Edge Concrete & Services so the same team can handle a job from the dig to the finished pour, whether we work on our own or alongside Cutting Edge Excavation.
We run excavators sized to the job, from compact machines for tight town lots to full-size machines for farm and commercial work, plus skid steers, a forestry mulcher and a compact tractor. Our wrapped Silverado is usually the first thing you will see on site.
